WikiMapia Online Map Wiki

WikiMapia is an online map and satellite imaging resource that combines Google Maps with a wiki system, allowing users to add information (in the form of a note) to any location on Earth.

Created by Alexandre Koriakine and Evgeniy Saveliev, the project was launched on May 24, 2006 and is aiming towards "describing the whole planet Earth". WikiMapia is unrelated to Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation, but the website states that it was "inspired by Wikipedia."

WikiMapia allows any contributor to add a "Hotspot" to any map by marking out a rectangle (with the maximum length of any one side being 20 kilometers) which is wiki-linked to a note providing information about the locality. The note may be in any of 64 languages currently supported, and may be modified by any contributor, as in a wiki. The link is activated by clicking within the rectangular "Hotspot".

Istana Budaya Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Istana Budaya Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

The Istana Budaya or The Palace of Culture, founded in September 1999, is Malaysia's main presenter of all types of theater including musical theater, operetta, classical concert and opera from local and international performances.

It is located next to the National Art Gallery in Jalan Tun Razak at the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. The idea of this state-of-the-art theater begins with the proposal in 1964 to establish a culture centre. The construction work begins in 1995 and completed three years later. Upon completion, the former theater, Panggung Negara or National Theater has been relocated to this new building. The Istana Budaya was officiated by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed in 1999.

Kl Sentral Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

KL Sentral

On Google Map

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Kuala+Lumpur,+Malaysia&ie=UTF8&ll=3.13426,101.68602&spn=0.004007,0.007296&t=k&z=17&om=1

KL Sentral is being developed as a futuristic self-contained city, providing the perfect live, work and play environment. Office towers, condominiums, hotels, restaurants, retail malls and entertainment and leisure centres are all walking distance from each other within the 72 acres that is KL Sentral. Adding to this, the transport facilities offered are on par with the best the world over. Not only is Stesen Sentral the country’s rail transport nucleus, and an extension of the KLIA, but road access to KL Sentral has been carefully thought out so as to offer the highest convenience to motorists entering and leaving the development.

KL Sentral supports fully the vision of the KL Structure Plan 2020, namely creating a metropolis that is efficient, harmonious and spiritually inspiring. Blending cutting-edge technology with soothing surrounds, KL Sentral offers a fine, and rare, balance between fast-paced urban living and the very human need for leisure, relaxation and comfort. It is a place where you can truly exercise your body, mind and soul. But KL Sentral is more than a development that seeks to improve the quality of life of Malaysians. It is also a prominent landmark in our evolving city that symbolises national pride and prestige.

KL Sentral is being developed in phases, and is expected to be completed by the year 2012.
